Step by step
The certification journey
The pathway explains the core stages used to review scope, evidence, site controls, certification decisions and ongoing responsibilities.
Application Submitted
Complete and formally submit the application with the available supporting documents and evidence.
Scope and Eligibility Review
Prime Halal reviews the requested products, ingredients, suppliers, premises, processes and certification scope.
Quotation and Service Agreement
The proposed assessment scope, responsibilities, applicable fees and required activities are documented and agreed.
Document and Evidence Review
Relevant product specifications, ingredient information, supplier evidence, production controls, cleaning, segregation and traceability records are assessed.
Audit Planning and Site Assessment
A competent auditor is assigned and a site assessment is conducted where required by the certification scope and applicable scheme.
Findings and Corrective Actions
Any nonconformities or requests for further information are recorded. The applicant may be required to submit evidence addressing the identified issues.
Independent Certification Decision
An authorised decision maker reviews the application, evidence, audit results and corrective actions independently of the audit where required.
Certificate Issued and Publicly Verifiable
When the applicable requirements are met and approval is authorised, a certificate may be issued for the approved organisation, products, premises, processes and validity period.
Surveillance, Changes and Renewal
The certified organisation must maintain the approved controls, report relevant changes and complete any required monitoring, surveillance or renewal activities.
Certification is not automatic. Approval is issued only after the required review, assessment and authorised certification decision are complete.

What happens after assessment
The outcome depends on the approved scope, evidence, findings and authorised certification decision.
Approved
A certificate may be issued for the authorised scope and made available for public verification.
Further action required
Prime Halal requests further information or corrective-action evidence before a decision can be completed.
Not approved
The applicant is informed of the outcome, reasons and applicable complaint or appeal options.
Independent decisions and review pathways
The authorised certification decision is separate from the audit and primary review where required. Applicants can also use the published complaints and appeals pathways when they need a concern or decision reviewed.
